About this book

Language: Spanish

The last Pyrenean ibex died in 2000 in the valley of Ordesa, located in the Pyrenees. It was the first extinction of the twenty-first century. So far, few details of its story are known and it is difficult to understand why man has not been able to save this helpless animal, which has enjoyed a century of legal protection.

It was not easy to find answers. By studying books and old sheets, reports, photos, and zoological collections, and interviewing people who have been with the Pyrenean ibex the pieces of a complicated puzzle are brought together. The question remains what to do with the legacy and memory of this animal.
