This book presents long-term data on the leaf-mining moth family Elachistidae of the Lithuanian fauna. The introductory chapters give an overview of research history in Lithuania and a thorough description of field and laboratory methods. Broad coverage of morphology and biology of elachistid moths is provided and species identification keys are compiled. Besides the 39 species known from Lithuania, the book includes 20 more species that are distributed in the neighbouring countries and potential for lithuania. Each species is dealt with using the following format: Material examined; Differential diagnosis (based on external features and genitalia); description, Male genitalia; Female genitalia; Biology; Distribution; Notes; English summary. The book is illustrated with colour plates with 104 water colours of all 59 species dealt with.
