The Conchological Albums – Terrestrial Molluscs

For more than 30 years Abbott's Compendium of Landshells was the only "comprehensive" guide for the world's biodiversity of land snails, summarized in 2,000 figures on 250 pages.

The ultimate goal of The Conchological Albums – Terrestrial Molluscs is to figure the currently known world's biodiversity of land snails as complete as possible. This series is not intended to be a revision of the respective gastropod families, but to figure their species and morphological plasticity. Each of the treated families is presented in a short introduction dealing with their peculiar facts. If this series is complete in a projected 20 volumes, more than 9,000 species will have been figured.
