Clive Gifford is an award-winning author of books for children and adults including the astonishing Dead or Alive, the creepy Book of Bad Things and the brain mangling, Think Again. He is passionate that books should entertain, inform and amaze whenever possible. A contributor to Encyclopedia Britannica, Clive has twice been nominated for the prestigious Royal Society Young People's Book Prize (2012 and 2014) as well as the Best Book Awards (2014). His books have won School Library Association, PBS, Smithsonian and Times Educational Supplement awards. Clive has travelled through more than 50 countries, interviewed famous scientists and sportspeople, ridden on the back of large robots and parachuted from an aircraft into a cabbage field by mistake. He lives in a tumbledown house in Manchester, UK with far too many books and not enough time to read them all.
Sarah Horne lives in London, and has illustrated many children's books. Notable works include Monster House and The Sesame Seade Mysteries and Guinea Pigs Online. Sarah has also written and illustrated the fiction series Molly and Mimi, the story of a mad talking cat and a very sensible girl. She is currently developing more fiction work. Sarah is also a fine artist, her prints and painting sell internationally. Continuously drawing from a young age, Sarah's strength is in her draftsmanship and line work, she loves colour and one of the real joys of her illustration work is adding the extra humour in the detail. Sarah is also a keen photographer in her spare time, and has been long fascinated by negative space, or the 'space between'. Sarah likes to travel, loves music, she doesn't care for mice and loves a good cup of coffee.
