About this book
In this general part, specific contributions on the physiography and landscape ecology of dry coastal ecosystems have been collected, as well as chapters on particular ecosystems of dunes and cliffs. An important aspect of coastal ecology is the influence of critical environmental factors and the dynamics of dry coastal ecosystems. Therefore a special section is included on these aspects, with a particular emphasis on spatial and temporal variation in the dune landscape.
