This is part of a three-volume collection which provides information on innovative development projects in Asia, Latin America and Africa that have actually worked. The 50 cases presented illustrate a wide spectrum of economic and environmental policy and practice, including community-based sustainable livlihood projects; social policy, the utilization of indigenous and traditional knowledge, appropriate technology experiences; social service delivery and education organizations and experiments.
