About this book

Language: Italian

The Regional Natural Park of Porto Conte falls entirely within the territory of the city of Alghero, in the province of Sassari in northwestern Sardinia, Italy. The protected area is a strategic border between major environmental areas of extraordinary naturalistic and scientific value, such as as the harbor of Alghero, the system of limestone and metamorphic cliffs of Nura, the river Rio Barca, the Calich lagoon and its catchment area, and the hills of Monte Doglia. These unique landscapes are an asset to be preserved, guided, developed, and used according to the systematic criteria of ecology in a process linked to the needs and uses by urban cities, coastal communities, and the productive activity of agricultural villages.
