Reference guide to educators in schools, refuges, nature centers, parks, etc who are interested in creating, restoring, or enhancing, and then monitoring a wetland in their schoolyard. Also acts as a source of hands-on activities that incorpoate many job skills. Part 1 deals with the technical aspects of planning wetlands, providing background information about natural wetlands, wetland hydrology, and the different types of planned wetlands. Also covers permitting, design, construction, maintenance, and costs associated with planned wetlands, and information and drawings of native wetland plants. Part 2 is a series of hands-on multi-disciplinary activities in lesson-plan format.
