Contains a set of easy-to-use, low-cost desktop image processing techniques that can be used for creating digital, spatial and pictorial databases, atlases and wall maps. These techniques are suitable for instructional, research, professional and business applications. The techniques include image scanning, mosaicing, heads-up digitizing, marking, measuring, printing, and screen viewing. Each technique is preceded by a brief discussion of general hardware and software requirements, and a description of the process. The techniques were developed on Apple Macintosh computers.
