The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) was established in 1988 to make scientific and technical assessments of data on climate change. This publication is based on the IPCC's second assessment report and seeks to raise public awareness of the environmental and socioeconomic impacts of climate change.
It provides an accessible guide to the topic using graphics and maps on a number of high quality OHP transparencies, as well as a CD-ROM. As evidence accumulates that we may already be witnessing the early signs of global climate change, the need to communicate this issue to both policymakers and the general public becomes ever more urgent.
