About this book
Interprets the arguments both for and against globalization. However it is not a search for middle ground. It takes the proponents of globalization at their word, that it is the solution to global poverty, and looks at the issues from the point of view of poor people and poor countries. It argues for a management of global change that ensures everyone shares in its opportunities - it is a call for 'ethical globalization'. The author uses his unique experience on both sides of the ideological divide - working with NGOs, governments ant the World Bank - to analyse the system's faults and to suggest a framework for transforming global relations and redressing injustices.
