The fourth volume of the Fibigeriana Supplement series is the third, revised edition of the Macrolepidoptera of Hungary, a bilingual, up-to-date, annotated checklist and the illustration of all Heterocera and Rhopalocera species known from Hungary in colour. The Noctuoidea part of the book is a direct continuation of the publications dealing with the results of the ongoing, complete revision of the European Noctuoidea which has been started within the framework of the Nolini of the World, the Fauna Ibérica and the Plante Noctuidae Collection Catalogue projects.

The readers can marvel at the multitude of new taxonomic results, the high number of cases where the previous species and genus-level classification had to be modified. As a consequence of the revisional work, for the first time in the publication of the checklist of the Hungarian Macrolepidoptera, the present volume includes the description of a new subgenus, two new species, and four new subspecies. The descriptions of the new taxa are presented in English, in a separate chapter following the annotation chapter.
