For more than 20 years, the Flora Helvetica has been the standard flora for the botany of Switzerland. Scientifically sound and adapted to the APG standard, the flora also meets the needs of amateur botanists.
Virtually all flowering plants and ferns growing wild in Switzerland are represented by one or two excellent colour photos – each species individually – and are described by a precise text. The species description contains the scientific, German, French, Italian and Rhaetian names, the most important characteristics, the ecological importance, the frequency and occurrence in Switzerland, as well as further information such as IUCN Red List status, toxicity, pharmaceutical application, legal protection, etc.
The 6th edition has been completely revised: The species selection takes into account more neophytes, the plant names are based on the latest checklist of InfoFlora 2017 and all distribution maps have been updated.
