In part 54, the family Ranunculaceae in Ecuador is revised. Eight genera with a total of 22 species are treated, viz. Anemone (2 spp., one endemic and one introduced), Caltha (1 sp.), Clematis (5 spp.), Consolida (1 sp., introduced), Krapfia (1 sp.), Oreithales (1 sp.), Ranunculus (10 spp., one of which introduced), and Thalictrum (1 sp.). Two species, Clematis joergensenii and C. azuayensis, are described as new to science. All taxa are described and keys and specimen citations are provided; several species are illustrated with line drawings and/or colour photos.

In part 108, the family Aquifoliaceae in Ecuador is revised. One genus, Ilex, with a total of 32 species and two varieties are treated; two of the species are expected to occur in the country. All taxa are described and keys and specimen citations are provided; all taxa are illustrated with line drawings and/or colour photos.
