About this book

Language: English

Dzhizak Province is a large administrative region located in central Uzbekistan. All the typical vertical vegetation belts of Central Asia are distributed here, as are most of the Central Asian ecosystems and vegetation types. The plant diversity here is very rich, with many plants endemic to the region, as well as some endangered plants and plants of global economic importance. This book is the first record of the wild vascular plants in Dzhizak Province, Uzbekistan from the aspects of life form, habitat, distribution, conservation status and economic use, describing a total of 105 families, 613 genera, and 1965 species, of which 51 belong to the national red species list.
