Flora of the Maltese Islands, Volume 3 describes over 183 species of wild plants, and so far the 3 volumes together depict more than 530 species. The species covered in these volumes are all dicotyledons. The monocotyledons will be covered in the last volume. This book has 14 pages illustrating the endemic and sub-endemic plants of the Maltese Islands, showing their beauty in colour photographs and also serving as an easy reference to these plants. An introduction to the plant families mentioned in this volume starts at page 18. An index of plants in English, Maltese and Latin names is given at the end of the book.
Please note: the author originally self-published these four volumes as a 3-volume hardback set, which is now out of print. Compared to the original hardback print, the author has abbreviated the contents and put only 2 or 3 pictures of each plant described in this paperback reprint, but otherwise the material covered is largely the same. Due to size constraints during the layout the author had to spread the material out over four instead of three volumes.
