This is a computerised identification key to 786 species of British wild plants (excluding grasses, sedges, rushes and conifers). Available in two formats, DOS and Windows, the program is menu driven. After entering basic information about a plant specimen, in answer to specific questions, FLORA generates a short-list of species that most closely match these criteria. With a wide range of criteria to choose from, this program is particularly useful when only a few parts of a plant are available. The FLORA package includes (i) a disc containing the program and database; (ii) an instruction manual; (iii) a reference manual to illustrate botanical terms.
Prices quoted below are for the single user versions. Site Licences are available - please write for details.
