About this book

Language: French with English summary

The family Heliconiaceae is represented in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda and Burundi by just one genus, Heliconia. The genus is only known from three collections of cultivated (or maybe naturalized) plants, representing three different species from tropical America, though several others might also escape from cultivation. A key to these three species, full descriptions, and data on their distribution is provided.
