About this book

Language: Spanish

This guide, with more than 300 photographs taken in the wild, and 90 illustrations, introduces the reader in a simple way to the nearby yet unknown world of wildflowers. And therein lies its value: to teach, educate, and invite the reader to encounter and observe his surroundings, which sometimes goes unnoticed.

This wildflower guide uses an approach to botany in the most obvious way, that is, using the colour of the petals of flowers. It is an informative, practical pocket guide, suitable as a reference book on walks, tours and in lecture halls. In its pages are included more than 200 species of flowers around the area of the Sierra de la Demanda, a mountain sub-range situated in the northern Iberian Peninsula (in the vicinity of Valle de San Millán de la Cogolla and Alto Najerilla) with pictures taken in nature.
