The authors also add comments of interest and various anecdotes related to specific events of interactions with humans of some species.

The illustrations are varied and complete, including not only the drawings of the species as a model, but also variations of age, the size of the antlers in ungulates, skulls, footprints, teeth, or photos with excrement and other traces.

Con la intención de ser una guía completa y moderna, ofrece la taxonomía más actualizada, incluyendo las diferencias de subespecies cuando las hay, junto con mapas lo más actualizados al conocimiento actual, y pormenorizadas explicaciones de hábitos, biología y características para una identificación fiable. Añaden además comentarios de interés sobre anécdotas diversas relacionadas con eventos concretos de interacciones de algunas especies con humanos.
