In 1969, a diverse group of scholars met at the Man and Beast Symposium to seek a concensus on how and where human and animal behaviour meet. Nearly twenty years later, they met again to see what advances had been made. In this text, contributors such as Richard Dawkins, EO Wilson, John Eisenberg and Norman Myers assess the current state of research and new avenues for future study. The essays cross many disciplines including anthropology, animal behaviour and philosophy.
