The book provides an original account of the mosses of Govind Wildlife Sanctuary, Uttarakhand, India, elucidating 210 taxa belonging to 113 genera and 33 families supported by 110 colour plates. This work includes six species new to the bryoflora of India, 3 species new to Himalaya, 28 species new to Western Himalaya and 32 species new to Uttarakhand. The study aims to provide baseline information on the diversity of mosses and their status. The present study gives a thorough account of the moss flora through extensive surveying and collecting of mosses from Govind Wildlife Sanctuary. An illustrated account of mosses with keys for identification and taxonomic descriptions has been provided.
