About this book

This book focuses on the adult stage of the "neuropteroids". More specifically, it presents the Plecoptera (stoneflies), the super-order Neuropterida (Neuroptera, Megaloptera, Rhaphidioptera), Megaloptera, Trichoptera (caddisflies), and Mecoptera (scorpionflies). Approximately a thousand species are meticulously illustrated and described, including details of their biology and the habitats they occupy, with particular emphasis on orders with aquatic larvae. In certain cases, illustrations of the genitalia for the relevant species are provided.
