&i;Poppies,&o; first published in 1993, was the first book devoted exclusively to these most loved and cherished of plants. In this new edition, Grey-Wilson has included chapters on the family, cultivation and classification, and a key to genera. The individual genera, grouped into their respective subfamilies, are dealt with, including coverage of their more specialised cultivational requirements. All the important synonyms have been included to avoid confusion or ambiguity. Botanical authorities are given for all recognised species and synonyms.
Christopher Grey-Wilson was editor of The Kew Magazine. He is now editor of the Alpine Garden Society journal and a freelance author.
