About this book

Language: German

With over 2.5 million copies sold, Schmeil-Fitschen: Die Flora Deutschlands und Angrenzender Länder (often simply known as the Schmeil-Fitschen), is the most successful flora of its kind since its first publication with Quelle & Meyer Verlag in 1906. The simple and clear determination of all wild and often cultured vascular plants Germany and adjacent countries already was the objective of the first edition; it has remained so until today.

The present 96th edition was completely revised by a team of specialists and expanded so as to allow determination of more than 4,600 taxa. Among many other improvements, the usability was also increased by for the first time including 32 colour plates  that illustrate important particulars helpful in identification.
