#33
8th September 2016

About Us
In this edition: Bird Photographer of the Year is a new competition conceived to showcase the depth of talent of today's photographers, and to demonstrate the advances in technology that are pushing the boundaries of the art form. The competition aims to support the work of the British Trust for Ornithology.

Other highlights: The second edition of the Helm Field Guide to the Birds of Nepal is out now, along with two new paperbacks jointly written by well-known nature writers Brett Westwood and Stephen Moss, both based on popular Radio 4 series; Lichens of Finland is set to be a major work on the subject and is published by the Finnish Museum of Natural History; Rock Agamas of Eurasia is a compilation of 10 years of research on these populous reptiles; we recommend the Swiss-made Pesola Light-Line Spring Scale for taking the finest measurements.
