About this product

Language: Bilingual in English and French

This boxed set of two audio CDs and two colour booklets is an invitation to experience the rich world of the sounds of the Seychelles. The first disc presents a selection of 14 beautiful soundscapes of the granitic islands: concerts of wild animals, natural elements like the waves of the ocean, the wind and the drizzle in the giant leaves of the Coco-de-mer, waterfalls and mountain streams, and some human traditional activities. The second disc is a sound guide with the songs, calls and other sounds produced by 51 wild animal species of the Seychelles (33 birds, 5 mammals, 2 reptiles, 3 frogs and 8 insects). Each species is illustrated by a colour painting, and accompanying text provides information on the characteristics of its vocalisations, its biology and its status.
