About this product

At 56" wide (1.43m) x 60" tall (1.5m), the tent cage is suitable for large insects and plants. It can be used outdoor in summer when placed on flat surfaces such as a patio or lawn, or in the greenhouse. A generous access through a large sweeping double slide zip is provided for attending to plants and insects, and for cleaning. The Tent cage is also large enough for photography, with the photographer inside the tent. Similar in style to small domed camping tents, this cage uses the same flexible fibreglass sectioned tent poles and method of erection. In windy conditions the corners can be secured with 4 pegs (supplied) skewered into the ground. The net sides and integral geotextile groundsheet are designed so that no insects can enter or escape, and there are no projecting internal seams to trap or hide insects. When dismantled it is packed in a bag approx 30" long (76cm) x 7" (18cm) diameter. Weight approx 2kg (5lbs).

Use includes:

  • Flight, demonstration, and pairing of many insects
  • Egg laying
  • Rearing of all insect development stages

Please note the Tent cage is made to order. Lead time for this item is about 4 weeks.
