Contains details of all the wildlife seen here from September 2005 to August 2006, including the first ever arctic skua, hawfinch and roseate tern. Raven, golden oriole and white-fronted geese are among the other scarce birds featured, while little egret and yellow-legged gull both hit new record counts.
But it's not just about the rarities: it also contains counts of wintering waterbirds, the status of breeding birds and greatly enlarged sections on mammals, dragonflies and butterflies than ever before.
It also contains a list of first and last summer migrant dates at Paxton and special features on the campaign to grow the nature reserve, analysis on the best spring ever for passage waders and the results of research projects undertaken during 2005.
