About this book

Volume 1 presented all the relevant data necessary for original research and the status of the taxa. Volume 2, which continues its page numbering from volume 1, presents all the descriptions for the Haworthia names and their basionyms, Original texts have been revised and reorganized after thorough analysis the significance of their content. For ease of reading, and to make possible direct comparison between the entries, the layout has been standardised. In addition to the revised texts, the text of other authors has been added, especially for older taxa, which mostly have mere Latin phrase names. As many of these texts are unavailable to the majority of people these days, the author has tried to synthesise a complete presentation out of fragmented information.
