This photographic identification guide provides descriptions for the edible and toxic species found on the island of Cyprus. With the island home to more than 2,000 species from the Mediterranean, Northern Europe and the Middle East, the selection is not exhaustive, but should cover species commonly encountered. The majority of species described in this book can be identified from their macroscopic characters, for a large number of species conclusive identification is impossible without careful examination of their microscopic characters.
