About this book

Language: German

In an efficient format, this book comprehensively portrays all the bird species found in Central Europe. Besides information on taxonomy and naming, the reader will learn all essentials about size, weight, behaviour, habitats, food, reproduction, protection status, and more. The distribution data are shown in up-to-date maps. The included graphics on phenology allow a quick overview of important phases in the course of the year of most bird species. Thus, this book is both a competent companion for bird-watching observations, as well as a deep well of knowledge for all questions concerning the Central European bird fauna. At the same time, it is a sensible addition to purely image-based identification guides, such as the Bildatlas mit Schnellzugang, published in the same series, whose system has been adopted and can thus comfortably be used in parallel.
