Language: Czech

Among the basic works of Czech botanical literature, the nine-volume Květena České Republiky represents the most extensive encyclopaedic work evaluating the flora of this area. It is a complex and critical taxonomic and chorological treatment with karyological, ecological and cenological characteristics of individual species. The eighth volume of the flora includes the first monographic processing of the genus Taraxacum (with 179 species) and of 27 monocotyledons with 75 genera and 199 numbered species. Potamogetonaceae, Liliaceae, Orchidaceae, Iridaceae, Convallariaceae, and Hyacinthaceae are among the larger families. A total of 29 authors participated in writing this volume.

Summary in Czech:
Potamogetonaceae, Liliaceae, Orchidaceae, Iridaceae, Convallariaceae a Hyacinthaceae.
