About this book

Language: English

This book on moths is the seventh volume of the Moths of Europe collection, which will comprise a total of eight volumes and cover the majority of the heteroceran Lepidoptera found in Europe. It is the first of two volumes dedicated to microlepidoptera.

This volume deals with Micropterigidae to Tortricidae. For each species, a precise description is provided, as well as useful information on their biology. Over 2500 species are illustrated on 118 colour plates and described in detail, with particular attention paid to their biology (host plants, mines, cases, habitats frequented, typical flight period, and distribution). In some cases, genitalia are illustrated.
