This book presents the results of four years of research on wild plant resources in Beijing, the capital of China. The field survey recorded the variety of resources, plant species, and habitats, and recorded a total of more than 800 plant species in 402 genera and 123. Furthermore, information is included on protection and utilization of resources, plant harvesting, processing, use, marketing, cultivation and other first-hand information. In addition to the 12 categories of wild plant resources in Beijing, the book also describes nearly 400 kinds of common or important plant resources in detail. The entry for each plant has several colour photos, including its habitat, roots, foliage, flowers, fruits, seeds, and other parts. The text describes the main morphological characteristics of plants, distribution and habitat, various uses, and related knowledge.
