About this book

Language: German

This volume presents all native amphibian and reptile species of Switzerland and provides the necessary information in order to identify them reliably. The chapters on individual types provide insight into their otherwise mostly hidden life: how and where animals live, what they do in the winter, where they can be observed, on what they are dependent, what makes them vulnerable and – a central question – what we can do to preserve the species?

The authors outline protective measures in the landscape, but also give many tips on how living conditions for native amphibians and reptiles can be improved in your own garden.
