This Atlas of Exotic Species is the first attempt to provide a comprehensive, group by group, survey of recent marine 'immigrants' in the Mediterranean, which is undergoing drastic and rapid changes to its biota. Many of these new species are of Indo-Pacific origin having reached the Mediterranean Sea through the Suez Canal: these so-called 'Lessepsian' migrants now contribute significantly to the biodiversity of the Eastern basin.
Volume 3 describes molluscs that have invaded the Mediterranean Sea.

Exotic Species in the Mediterranean (Mollusca)
by Graham Saunders in UK
This is probably the first time the subject has been addressed in this detail. The scenario is ongoing and must be changing on an almost daily basis. The paper is high quality. The cover could have been more robust but no doubt they have to keep costs under some sort of control. Presumably it was a comparatively low print run. If at all possible a revised update every five years would be useful. It is definitely worth buying.
