11 papers present and discuss process- and archive-based approaches to identify climatic signals of various amplitudes and frequencies in different geomorphological settings. The volume includes methodological and stratigraphic studies on loess-palaeosol sequences, the application of geochemical approaches and terrestrial laser scanning in fluvial geomorphology, and approaches to reconstruct slope deposition processes and resulting sediment budgets. In periglacial environments, analyses of electric resistivity profiles and air photographs are used to evaluate melting of mountain permafrost. This issue is of interest to all geomorphologists and Earth scientists working on geomorphological processes and archives with probable climatic impact or control.
