There are many kinds of wild mushrooms in southwest China, and edible and poisonous mushrooms are easy to be confused. Correct identification is very important. This book briefly introduces the geographical environment, fungal resources, methods of prevention and treatment of toadstool poisoning, and basic terminology of mushrooms in the area. It records a total of 312 common edible fungi and toadstools in the area. For each species, the book provides colour photos of individuals, descriptions of important characteristics, ecological distribution, and information on edibility or toxicity.
