About this product

The Compact 20W (240V) Skinner Moth Trap is made from lightweight, durable polypropylene and can be packed flat so that it fits into a daysack. It is easy to assemble and very portable so is great for holidays or garden trapping. The trap requires mains electricity (standard UK plug) so needs to be set up near a power source. The light source is a 20W actinic bulb. Please see the accessories below for suitable replacement bulbs.

The assembled trap measures 48cm (H) x 35cm (W) x 35cm (D) and weighs 3kg (including all electrics). A 5m cable is included and a convenient carrying bag is also available to purchase separately.

  • Ok but difficult to access and remove moths
    By Julie 13 Jun 2019
Whilst I am fairly happy with the trap in terms of value for money, its ease of assembly and amount of light given out, I do feel that it is badly designed in terms of its ease of access to remove moths and this could lead to damage to the moths themselves. Also, so far I do not seem to be catching very many moths but this could well just be the conditions this year when I have put the trap out.

  • Brilliant for first time users!
    By Kerri 9 Aug 2021
So I recently got into moth watching/observing and I didn’t want to spend loads of money so I decided to get this trap. It’s absolutely brilliant, easy to use, lightweight and just a bargain. Highly recommend it!
