From the foreword:
"This book is a tribute to the many facets of nature in all its manifestations so beautifully depicted by the flora and fauna. Taken together, they constitute the key to a very complex and fascinating ecosystem.
The passion with which Samad Kottur and his co-authors have represented the bears and the biodiversity of Daroji Sloth Bear Sanctuary in Bellary, Karnataka is exemplary. Their work has encouraged me te explore many other environmental issues in greater depth.
The aim of this book is te explore these persistent offerts devoted to the cause of the environment. The authors are not only dedicated conservationists, but alse expert photographers with the right sensitivity. For this book, they have pooled in their efforts te present the bear sanctuary and its surroundings through striking images. I commend the hard work that has gone into making it a significant contribution to the literature on sloth bears.
We hope that among its pages you discover with us the magic of these unforgettable encounters with some of the most beautiful and singular beings in the world."
