The National Parks are the most celebrated and diverse areas of Britain's unique rural landscape. Each with it's own distinct character, from the rugged mountainous countryside of the Cairngorms in Scotland to the open heathland and ancient expanses of woodland in the New Forest, they are home to some of the most varied wildlife to be found anywhere in the country.
Renowned National Park authority Roly Smith gets to the heart of what makes each of Britain's National Parks unique, imparting his expert advise and some top tips along the way and AA National Parks of Britain celebrates the special role the National Parks play in the preservation of Britain's rich and varied landscape.
Roly Smith is the writer, editor, and author of 70 books about the British countryside. Formerly chairman of the national Outdoor Writers and Photographers Guild, he is now its president.
