As environmental studies become more complex, scientists are more frequently required to take advantage of new technologies that include remote sensing, geographic information systems (GIS), and powerful climatic and environmental stimulation models. As they utilise many of these methods, a whole new range and depth of problems has become apparent.
This text aims to address some of the more important problems. The book is divided into seven key sections, and each section includes an introduction, a theoretical discussion and use of pertinent case studies.
