About this book

Language: German, with trilingual abstract in English, French and German

During the years 1995-2002, a survey of the grasshopers, crickets and bush crickets was carried out in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. The results of this survey and the historical data are presented in distributions maps in Verbreitungsatlas der Heuschrecken des Großherzogtums Luxemburg using squares of 5 × 5 km. For each species the ecological requirements, the actual and the historical distribution are discussed. The most important habitats for grasshopers, crickets and bush crickets in Luxembourg are presented and recommendations regarding the preservation of these habitats are given.
