The authors, all naturalists and entomologists with much experience of photography and excursions in nature, share with the reader some of their experiences in this volume. The book is a collection of reference images on approximately 500 arthropod species photographed in Sardinia and features a short bilingual introduction in English and Italian. Numerous species of butterflies, beetles, dragonflies, hemipterans, orthopterans, hymenopterans, etc. are illustrated, representing various endemic species that live in this region and numerous others that are also found in other regions of the Mediterranean. As the authors themselves define it, it is a very useful photo book for the identification of these arthropods.

Gli Autori, tutti naturalisti, entomologi e con una lunga esperienza di fotografia ed escursioni in natura, ci fanno partecipi con questo volume di alcune loro esperienze. Il libro è una raccolta di immagini di riferimento su circa 500 specie di artropodi fotografati in Sardegna. Numerose specie di farfalle, coleotteri, libellule, emitteri, ortotteri, imenotteri, etc. sono illustrate in rappresentanza di diverse specie endemiche che vivono in questa regione e numerose altre che si ritrovano anche in altre regioni del Mediterraneo. Come lo definiscono gli stessi Autori si tratta di un fotolibro di grande utilità per l’identificazione di questi artropodi.
