This book is a celebration of the wildlife to be found in and around the historic English town of Maldon at the start of the 21st century.

Fully illustrated with photographs taken locally, it covers everything from butterflies to seals, with a particular focus on birds, providing explanations of where, when and how to see the best the area has to offer. Changes that have taken place over the last twenty years are fully explored along with some predictions for what is around the corner.

While much of our wildlife is under threat, there are suggestions for steps to take to ensure that it can be protected for future generations to enjoy.
