This introduction to the geology and scenery of Bute has been written to interest amateur (and to a certain extent, professional) geologists, the tourist, the layman and those persons who are perennially attracted to the island by its scenery and beauty. The book has been planned in two parts, namely a general introductory section on the island's geology and scenery, followed by a number of descriptive itineraries on Bute where interesting geological and topographical features are displayed.
