About this book

The main item is the systematic list covering sightings in 2024 in the Avon area. Special features this year are a short paper on the birds seen in Keynsham in 2024; the results so far of the East Harptree Swift Project, a seven-year survey on swifts nesting in buildings in the village of East Harptree; notes on the recovery of an individual woodcock, EM27907, that was ringed in Weston Moor and recovered two years later in northern Russia; and a look back fifty years ago to notable observations made in 1975. As usual, there are the reports from the AWBS and BBS, earliest and latest migration dates for 2024, and addenda for the 2023 report.
