This fascicle deals with the family Davalliaceae, which is principally distributed from India to Taiwan, the Philippines, New Guinea and Polynesia, with a few species found in Africa, Macaronesia, Morocco, and the Iberian peninsula. Worldwide it consists of 7 genera and approximately 125 species. In the flora area it is represented by 2 genera and 2 species.
