Language: Danish with 1-page English introduction
From the introduction:
"Knowledge of the Danish noctuid fauna has increased greatly in the three decades since the publication of Skat Hoffmeyer's De Danske Ugler. For some years Hoffmeyer's book has been out of print and there has been a growing demand for an up-todate work. Therefore, in 1986, the author decided to write this book, which in most respects is arranged in the same way as his Nordens Målere (1984) and The Geometroid Moths of North Europe (1986). As the present book on the noctuid moths of Denmark, Iceland, Norway, Sweden and Finland is published with the text only in Danish, this English introduction is provided as a guide for non-Danish readers on how to use the book.
In the systematic part of the book, the text for each species is divided into the following sections: description, range, habitat, flight period, and biology.
"[...] an excellent and informative book, very well produced and illustrated. It is an absolute must for anyone who has the slightest interest in the Noctuidae."
